A lawmaker representing Ibarapa Central/North Constituency of Oyo State,  Hon Peter  Gbadegesin Ojedokun (popularly called “P.G”) has urged residents of the state to give unflinching support to Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State in his efforts aimed at restoring the lost glory of the state.

Hon. Ojedokun, who doubles as the Chairman of, House Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development, recently spoke via a telephone conversation with Rulers’ World. He commended the governor for the all-round development in the state, most especially in Ibadan, the state capital.

While referring to asphalt tarring of roads, construction of drainages, provision of educational materials and employment of qualified teachers in secondary schools across the state, Hon. Ojedokun admonished all the Executive Chairmen, Vice-Chairmen and Councillors in Oyo State to justify the confidence people reposed in them through excellent performance and provision of democratic dividends to the people in the rural areas.

He added that being close to the grassroots, they should do their best to alleviate poverty and to make life meaningful to the people across the state.

Hon. Ojedokun used the opportunity to charge residents in the state to be vigilant and not to hesitate to report any suspicious or strange movement in their respective domain to security agents for legal and proper action.

“Security is not only the responsibility of the government but both the government and individuals have roles to play in securing our lives and properties.”
