When Methodist High School Old Students Celebrated 40th Year of Graduation

 

The Methodist Comprehensive High School ( MCHS), Aaye Ekiti, old students 1984 set, has celebrated the 40th anniversary of their graduation from the school, renewing the commitment to the development of their alma mater.

Since its inception, 50 years ago, Methodist Comprehensive High School, Aaye Ekiti, has produced students with academic excellence and high moral standard which stand them out among their peers, within and outside the country.

The set, as part of activities for the event and their resolve to develop their alma mater, on Saturday April 6, 2024 revealed the state of a proposed new innovation laboratory project which will be handed over immediately after completion to the school authority.

During the event held at CITRON Hotel, Onireke Ibadan, the president of the ’84 set Kulepa Waheed said, the set has recorded some achievements in term of projects delivered to the school and assistance rendered to some members.

He charged the members to give room for healthy competition among different old students in terms of projects execution and welfare programmes.

“It gives a great joy to be in the midst of those who are highly appreciative of what the almighty God and their alma mater have made in them and who equally find it necessary to give back to the society for the overall benefit, progress and wellness of human race.

” I commend the ’84 set old students association for deeming it fit to give back to their alma mater.

“Your effort and an altruistic act is well appreciated on behalf of the entire old students’ populace and the school,” he said.

In his remarks,a member , C.S.P Oluwole Ojo (Rtd) appreciated all members both within and in diaspora for their contributions towards developing the school.

In his speech, Kayode Adeniyi (TNT) urged the members to cooperate more with the school and governing board, be more committed and be consistent in organising reunion programmes for rapid development of their alma mater.

The highlights of the event were health talks, security tips, presentation of gifts, followed by singing of old school songs anchored by Kemi Osho now Mrs. Obadara
