Eid -el- Kabir: Ibadan South East LG Boss, Alawode Felicitates Muslim Ummah

As Nigerians join the world to celebrate this year Eid el Kabir festival, the Executive Chairman of Ibadan South East Local Government area, Hon. Oluwole Emmanuel Alawode has felicitated Muslims for witnessing the occasion with a charge to make sacrifices for the growth and development of their communities, states and country as a whole.

Hon. Alawode stated this today in his sallah message to Muslims
expressing the hope that the prayers and sacrifices of the season would bring peace, unity, harmony and progress for selfless brotherhood among all the citizens in the State and Nigeria as a whole.

Hon. Alawode popularly called “Arole Omituntun” enjoined the muslim community in Oyo State particularly in Ibadan South East Local Government area to pray fervently for Governor of the state, Engr. Seyi Makinde for God to endow him with wisdom, knowledge and understanding to continue to pilot the affairs of the State in the next four years of his second term.

“Let us also pray to God, the provider of all our needs to provide the wherewithal, the necessary resources in terms of Revenue, to enable the Governor execute all his desired and relevant developmental projects, which will be beneficial to the welfare of Oyo State citizens” he added.

“As we celebrate this year’s Festival, let us continue to pray to the Almighty Allah to spare our lives and give us good health; a sound mind in a sound body, to enable us witness and participate in the many Eid el-Kabir Festivals years ahead.

It is not by power. It is not by might. Neither is it by wisdom nor by knowledge that we are alive to witness this year’s celebration of the Eid-el-Kabir. It is the grace of the Almighty God, the Creator who has endowed us with mercy, compassion and loving-kindness. To him we give all the glory, honour and praises.

It is in this context, therefore, that I wish to share the joy of the festival celebration with our Muslim brothers and Sisters. I wish them all Happy Sallah celebration. He said.
