One of the foremost support groups for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, APC Professionals Council has joined others to felicitate the entire Muslim Community on the occasion of this year Eid-il-Kabir (Ileya) festival.
In a sallah message issued and signed by the Oyo State Coordinator of the group, Dr. Bamidele Gold and made available to journalists in Ibadan, Dr. Gold said that Nigerians especially the Muslim community deserve to offer gratitude to God Almighty for keeping them alive to witness the festival celebration despite the numerous challenges that the country witnessed before the present administration under President Tinubu came on board exactly a month ago.
Dr Gold noted that though Nigerians have made sacrifices that led to the enthronement of new leaders at both federal and State levels, they should therefore exercise more patience for the country’s growth and development of which President Tinubu is poised to achieve within the shortest period of time.
He expressed the hope that the prayers and sacrifices of the season would bring peace, unity, harmony and progress for selfless brotherhood among all the citizens in the State and Nigeria as a whole.
Dr Gold used the occasion to call on Muslims in Nigeria and Oyo State to use the opportunity of the festival to pray fervently for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu led administration in the country for God to endow him with wisdom, knowledge and understanding to pilot the affairs of the country in the next four years of his administration.
“It is in this context, therefore, that I wish to share the joy of the Ileya festival celebration with our Muslim brothers and sisters. I wish them all a happy Sallah celebration. I beseech Almighty Allah to spare our lives to witness more of it in the years to come.”
