The upper legislative chamber of the National Assembly, the Senate, has passed the 2022 Appropriation Bill.

The development is coming after the House of Representatives had on Tuesday passed the bill.

In passing the bill, the Senate raised the total estimates of the Federal Government’s budget from the proposed N16,391trn to N17.126trn.

The oil benchmark was raised from the proposed $57 per barrel to $62.
