Omi Tuntun Ramadan Lecture Award: PDP Chieftain, Ige Congratulates Makinde, Deputy, Arapaja, Adedibu, Others

 

A Chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ibadan South East Local Government, Hon. Akeem Ademola Ige has congratulated the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, his deputy, Barr. Bayo Lawal,  Deputy National Chairman (South) of the People’s Democratic Party, Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja, the South West Women Leader of the party, Alhaja (Chief) Modinat Abosede Adedibu and other top Islamic leaders on the peace awards conferred on them by the organizing committee of the 10th Omi tuntun Ramadan lecture held at the Government House Arcade, Agodi, Ibadan over the weekend.

Hon. Ige who described the awards as well deserved in a congratulatory statement he issued and made available to journalists noted that all the awardees have contributed immensely to the growth and development of islam and have equally shown great commitment to peace and religious tolerance in the state.

Hon. Ige is the Baameto Aare Ona kakanfo of Yorublaland and the immediate past Special Adviser to Governor Makinde on Culture and Tourism specifically mentioned Ambassador Arapaja, the Oluomo of Ibadanland and Alhaja Modinat Abosede Adedibu the Agbesinga Adinni of Ibadanland that they always seek after peace and preach religious tolerance for their followers and political allies at any point in time.

Hon. Ige said that apart from the fact that they have been spending their wealth to promote Islam as a religion they have contributed enormously and committed to peace and harmony among various religion adherents in Oyo State.

Hon. Ige who appreciated the founder of Omituntun mosque, Engr. Seyi Makinde for finding Ambassador Arapaja and Alhaja Bose Adedibu worthy of the award bestowed on them, prayed God to continue to guide the Engr Seyi Makinde led administration and give him more wisdom, knowledge to  make the State far better than he met it.

This year is the 10th edition of Omituntun Ramadan Lecture and anniversary awards sponsored by the founder of Omituntun mosque, Engr Seyi Makinde.
