Sequel to a viral video of popular Afrobeat singer, Seun Kuti, where he was seen assaulting a police officer, the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Bab, has ordered the Lagos State Commissioner of Police to immediately arrest him.
The IGP further ordered a speedy and full investigation into the remote and immediate cause(s) of the assault and the prosecution of the suspect accordingly.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Spokesperson, Muyiwa Adejobi, saying IGP has also assured Nigerians that acts of contempt/disdain for symbols of authority will not be tolerated while offenders of such crimes shall be brought to face justice.
