2023: NNPP Reps Candidate, Abioye Inagurates Campaign Council Committee

As campaign activities by various political parties for the 2023 Presidential and National Assembly elections slated for Saturday 25th February, 2023 officially kicks off today 28th September, 2023, the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) candidate for the Ogo Oluwa/Surulere federal constituency, Hon. Matthew Abioye Adegboyega has inaugurated his campaign council in preparation for the election.

The purpose of the inauguration is to set in motion the grassroot structure and bring together members of the 40-man committee comprising committee on Finance and Inter Party, Party Affairs, Women Affairs, Youth Affairs, Social Affairs, Transportation, Security and Social Welfare, to start canvassing for the candidacy of Hon. Mathew Abioye Adegboyega vying to represent the Ogo Oluwa/Surulere federal constituency at the National Assembly.

Prominent political heavyweight present at the inauguration of the campaign committee which was held at Ajaawa headquarters of Ogo Oluwa local government yesterday included Peter Atoyebi Abiola, Salami Lateef, Oloyede Omotayo, Adeniyi Sunday, Arowolo Deborah, Ojo Ruth, Adesanya Moruf, Ganiu Olatunji, Olamoyegun Oyedoyin, Olugbenga Ojelola, Adeleke Samson, Ogunmola Taiwo, Adeoye Fatai, Sunday Abiodun and Olugbenga Akanji respectively.

In his remarks at the inauguration tagged “Divine Journey”, Hon. Mathew Abioye Adegboyega popularly called (Elder) congratulated all members of the committees from the Ogo Oluwa/Surulere local government on their nomination as member of his campaign council for the said federal constituency, adding that surely with their contributions and the calibre of the people that were chosen and the support of God, he is convinced that he has already won the election.

He, however, charged them to double their efforts by taking the campaign from ward to ward down to polling unit to polling unit with an assurance that he would continue to put smiles on the faces of the people as he has been doing even after winning the election.

The Director-General of the campaign council, Peter Atoyebi Abiola said the purpose of inaugurating the committees is to bring them together and know themselves in order to kick start their work with a view to ensuring that Hon. Abioye secured maximum votes come February 25, 2023 National Assembly election.

He equally charged other members of the committe to take the campaign to the electorates from door to door and tell them who Hon. Abioye is and what they stand to gain if they support him to win the election as their representatives at the National Assembly.

Some members of the committes present at the inauguration that spoke with Rulers’ World News media expressed their readiness to embark on an issued based campaign in a more civilized way that will make Hon. Abioye more acceptable to the electorates.

Other Members of the committee inaugurated were Adeyemi Taiwo, Raji Fatai, Amos Orotunde, Oladayo Sunday, Yemi Oladapo, Olunlade Aasa, Adedokun Abiodun, Timothy Adesoye, Ojo John, Ajadi David, Oyewumi Olusegun, Fatimo Ramon, Solademi Joshua, Alhaji Salami, Adebayo Wasiu, Okunoye Kehinde, Olusegun Adeniran, Najirudeen Iyabo, Sunday Odo-oba, Olayiwola Adeoye, Akanji Ruth Lere Jokotoye,
Gbade Alamu, Aderonmu Thomas, Wale Moyin and Princess Risikat.
