RTEAN Boss Pledges Unity Among Members

 

The newly elected Chairman of Road Transport Employers’ Association of Nigeria (RTEAN), Kwara chapter, Alhaji AbdulRahman Onikijipa has promised to promote peace and sustain unity amongst members.

Onikijipa, who made this known in Ilorin in an interview with newsmen noted that unity is key to achieve greater things.

He reiterated that members’ unity would continue to be number one priority to move the association forward.

“I want to sustain peace and unity among members so that we can achieve together.

“My re-election for second term is a new challenge to do more. I will continue to discharge my responsibilities to the best of my ability towards being a better ambassador of the association.

“I believe to whom much is given much is expected. I promise to do more for the association at all levels,” he said.

He commended the National President of RTEAN, Alhaji Muhammad Maitakobi, for his selfless service and contribution to the association, describing his leadership style as the best.

Onikijipa added that Maitakobi have placed the association on an enviable position worthy of emulation, which other members must sustain the legacy.

“I pray that Allah bless you more with health, strength and wisdom so that you can lead us for long,” he said.

He also expressed appreciation to the North Central Zonal Chairman and First Vice National President, Alhaji Salman Ayọku, for his unwavering support and guidance throughout his first tenure.

“I thank the Kwara State Executive Council of the association as well all the members and staff for their cooperation and understanding. Without you and your support, there is absolutely nothing I can do,” he said.

He however charged members to be disciplined and always be a good ambassadors of the association.

Onikijipa solicited for members continuous support to make Kwara RTEAN an envy of other unions and states.
