Kwara FA Boss Okays Running of National League

Kwara Football Association, FA, chairman, Alhaji Idris Abdullahi Musa ‘Thuraya’ has expressed satisfaction at general organisation of Nigerian Premier Football League, NPFL, matches in Ilorin, stating that the state as a whole is not a place where match fixing or referee compromising can happen.

According to him, the Nigerian Football Federation, NFF, which he represents as a democratically elected FA chairman for Kwara, is a hurry to make the NPFL a global soccer brand.

“Anybody that wants to win a match here in Ilorin should go and do proper recruitment, and organise his team well otherwise there is no room for referee compromise as longer as in charge of football in ilorin,” he said to newsmen at the Ilorin International Airport while on his way to Abuja on official business.

Speaking further, he said that any club or interests who feels he can bribe any referee is only taking needless risk.

” The FA stands for NFF in Kwara. I am not here for Kwara United or for any visiting team.

“Everything we do here is by FIFA statute and the rules guiding the league. No referee comes to this place and do what he wants.

” You come here and officiate based on the rules, no more no less. If any team decides to give any referee money, it is at their own risk.

“We trying to build a brand with NPFL and that largely depends on officiating,” he said.
