A group, Youth Equity Advocate Ibadan South East Local Government branch in Oyo State has described a former Chairman of Pace Setter Transport Services Limited, Hon. Dare Adeleke has being deficient in integrity and character owing to his recent comment on the abysmal performance of Hon. Abass Adigun Agboworin who is representing the Ibadan South East/North East federal constituency in Abuja.
The group stated this in a statement it issued and made available to Rulers’ World in Ibadan on Wednesday.
The statement read thus: Dare Adeleke’s recent commendation of Hon. Abass Adigun Agboworin, despite the latter’s abysmal performance as a second term member of the House of Representatives reeks of deceit and manipulation.
It is imperative to shed light on Dare Adeleke’s dubious intention and his woeful track record before he attempts to hoodwink the public into believing his fallacious narrative of Abass Adigun Agboworin’s purported performance.
Firstly, let us address Dare Adeleke’s audacity to issue a commendation on a performance when he himself has consistently failed to secure victory in his own polling unit at ward 01 in Ibadan South East local government since 1999. This dismal track record speaks volumes about his credibility and his ability to accurately assess the performance of others.
Furthermore, Dare Adeleke’s brief stint as Chairman of the Pacesetter Transport Company serves as a glaring testament to his incompetence and ineptitude. His tenure was marred by poor performance and mismanagement, leading to his eventual ousting from the position and its subsequent handover to an individual younger than his own son.
Dare Adeleke’s failure in this capacity renders him utterly unqualified to pass judgment on anyone else’s performance, let alone that of Abass Agboworin.
It is laughable for Dare Adeleke to portray himself as a leader when he has failed to garner any meaningful support or hold together his own political domain. How do you refer to someone as a leader, who has no follower?
A true leader is measured not by empty rhetoric, but by their ability to inspire and unite their followers, a quality sorely lacking in Dare Adeleke, a one man riot squad. He is better known as ‘Madaru munafiki’ of Ibadan South East local government.
Furthermore, Dare Adeleke’s endorsement of Agboworin reeks of ulterior motives, as it is common knowledge that Agboworin is the one bankrolling Dare’s domestic affairs. It comes as no surprise, then, that Dare Adeleke would sing Agboworin’s praises in a feeble attempt to curry favour from his paymaster.
