Imbibe the virtues of Ramadan – HoRs hopeful, Olafisoye Akinmoyede charges Nigerians

As Muslims all over the world celebrate Eid-il-fitr festival today, Nigerians have been called upon to always allow the virtues of the holy month of Ramadan be their guide while dealings with one another.

An aspirant for the Federal House of Representatives in the 2023 general elections, Hon. Wasiu Olafisoye Akinmoyede (a.k.a. Lafi) stated this in his Sallah message he personally signed on the occasion of Eid Fitr celebration.

Hon. Olafisoye who is the former Chief Whip in the 8th Oyo State House of Assembly asked Nigerians irrespective of faith to imbibe the lessons of Ramadan fast which taught discipline, moderation, compassion, piety, humility and total submission to Allah.

“The teaching of Ramadan is not just about Islam, its significance is also about promotion of a just, peaceful and egalitarian society”. He said.

Hon. Olafisoye congratulated all Muslims in Nigeria, particularly in the Lagelu/Akinyele federal constituency where he is hoping to represent in 2023 on the occasion of this year Eid-il-Fitr, saying “Ramadan has come to an end but the lessons of piety, love, contentment, sharing and caring for the others learnt should be paramount in our beings”.
