Ib. S.E. L.G. Boss, Alawode Bags Best Chairman of the Year Award

The Executive Chairman of Ibadan South East Local government area, Hon. Alawode Emmanuel Oluwole yesterday received the Best Chairman of the Year Award from a group known as Omi Tuntun Senior Citizens (Women Wing), Oyo State chapter.

The award was given to Hon. Alawode in recognition of his outstanding leadership qualities and remarkable achievements in office as the Chairman of Ibadan South East local government area.

According to the State Chairperson of the group, Mrs Kudirat Balogun, the Omituntun Senior Citizens Women Wing in Oyo State decided to bestow the Best Chairman of the Year Award on Hon. Alawode based on his exceptional leadership and remarkable achievements in office.

Alawode is running an all inclusive government, has listening ears, cares for the elders and people with special needs and open administration. Not only that, he has great respect for women and gives due recognition to their roles in society. All these and many more are the reasons we deem it fit to honour him with this prestigious award.” Mrs Balogun said.

The group coordinator assured Hon. Emmanuel Oluwole Alawode of their continued support and pledged their readiness to work for his re-election bid for a second term, stressing that they are of the opinion that his second term will bring about positive impact on the residents of Ibadan South East Local Government and the state as a whole

In his reaction, Hon.Emmanuel Oluwole Alawode popularly known as “Arole Omi tuntun expressed gratitude for the honour bestowed on him and pledged to continue to replicate the good governance of Engr Seyi Makinde led administration in every nooks and crannies of the local government.
