No fewer than 10 persons have been crushed to death while many others were injured by a gas tanker in a market in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, on Sunday.
It was gathered that the driver of the gas tanker lost control of the vehicle around the Idi-Arere area and struggled with it until it got to Bode Market, in Molete.
Firefighters were said to have arrived at the scene on Sunday to prevent further disaster.
The Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Oyo State, Uche Chukwurah, could not be reached for comment on the incident as of the time of writing this report.
