APC Presidential Rally will hold in Ibadan as scheduled – Campaign DG, Dr Kolawole

The Director General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Committee, Dr Isiaka Kolawole has assured that the presidential rally scheduled to take place in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital will go on as scheduled.

Dr. Isiaka Kolawole who also double as chairman gubernatorial campaign, gave the assurance while briefing newsmen about the preparations for the rally scheduled to hold tomorrow.

Dr Kolawole who disclosed that the pockets of protests as witnessed in some parts of Ibadan today was politically motivated by the PDP led government with a view to causing unnecessary tension in the State having knew about the imminent defeat awaiting it in the fast approaching election.

It would be recalled that similar protest was witnessed last week Monday which made the APC to cancel the rally earlier scheduled for February 7, 2023.

Dr Kolawole who vowed that any attempt to disrput tomorrow’s rally will be resisted, assured that adequate security have been put in place to guarantee safety of the participants before, during and after the rally.

According to him, “we have been adequately informed that hoodlums sponsored by Oyo state government, PDP and evil agents, perpetuated protest that led to postponement of the rally from initial date and the ones being held today. We call on security agencies to stop the ongoing protest and clear all the blockage roads in the interest of the masses.”

He appealed to the people of the state to remain calm and peaceful adding that joining the evil process will not stop any harms but rather escalate the already pain situation and worsening the condition of the people.

The DG called on the people in the State to come out enmasse to show their love for the APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and listen to the plans he has to take Nigerians to a prosperous place

He also enjoined all participants that will be at the rally to be of good conduct and display a peaceful character.

Those present at the press briefing include, the party Chairman in Oyo state, Hon. Isaac Ajiboye Omodewu, Deputy Director-General of the APC PCC, Asiwaju Yemi Aderibigbe, Engr. Idris Adeoye, Hon. Segun Odebunmi, Hon. Kamil Omotosho and Engr. Akeem Alao.
