All Eyes on Lukaku as Arsenal host Chelsea in London Derby

Arsenal host Chelsea in London

Unless something out of the extraordinary happens, Romelu Lukaku is a sure bet to make his English premiership return in the away fixture at Arsenal.

The Belgian striker couldn’t play against Crystal Palace as he was still in quarantine following his move from Inter Milan but with a full week of training under his belt, he is ready to go in Blue once again.

Thomas Tuchel said on Friday that he was hopeful the £97.5million signing would play against Arsenal as the German targets two straight wins to start the new season.

Romelu Lukaku, an Italian Serie A winner with Inter Milan last season, left Chelsea in 2014 after 3 seasons, mostly spent on loans to West Brom and Everton after signing from Belgian giants, Anderlecht.

The big Belgian striker has only ever played 10 matches for Chelsea and scoring in none. Finding the net against Arsenal will be a glorious way to mark his EPL return.

While eyes will be on Lukaku, they won’t be on Christian Pulisic as he is ruled out for Chelsea having tested positive for COVID-19 and is now following isolation protocols.

N’Golo Kante and Hakim Ziyech, who both missed the Palace win, returned to training during the week and are both probable for today’s game.
