Coronation anniversary: Eleta family felicitates Olubadan
Eleta family, a section of Aliiwo Royal Dynasty, has felicitated the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba, Dr. Senator Mohood Olalekan Ishola Balogun-Aliiwo CFR (Ali Okunmade II), on the occasion of the second anniversary of his ascension to the throne.
In a congratulatory message signed and issued by Prince Muji Armstrong Bello, on behalf of the family at home and abroad, the members expressed appreciation to the Almighty God for His great grace and divine protection and favor that had found expression in the life of the monarch.
According to the family, Oba Balogun’s two-year reign of awesome success and accomplishments, have greatly impacted the family in multiplicity of ways.
The message further read: “Your reign these past two years, which clearly demonstrates a sense of responsibility in leadership, has also fostered a culture of openness, integrity, transparency, fairness and inclusivity. You have indeed infused in us a tremendous sense of pride and dignity as a foremost family within the larger Aliiwo Dynasty.
“Since you ascended the throne of your forebears, your robust and inspirational leadership acumen, candour, charisma and bravery have impacted all spheres of our lives as a family and Ibadan people as a whole.
“Ibadan is no longer ranked among insecure places as it was before you ascended the throne which was partly due to the violence-prone activities and restiveness of youths who, often unleashed terror on the people, especially during masquerade festivals.
“You have also stemmed the activities of land grabbers, whose notoriety impinged the security of the ancient town thereby given Ibadan a new toga of attraction that had made local and foreign investors to gravitate to the town with promising and sustainable investments that are capable of engaging idle youths, enhancing the socio-economic landscape and ultimately engendering development.
“Your unflinching determination to make your reign unique and unprecedented in the anals of Ibadan is so compelling and infectious. Aside Ibadan Royal Majesties’ invaluable role in complementing you in the traditional administration of the town, some of your subjects at home and in the Diaspora have shared your vision and are making positive contributions to its actualisation.
“Prominent among them are the senator for Oyo South in the nineth National Assembly, Senator Dr. Kola Balogun who is also the Baba Kekere Olubadan, the G5 group and Princess Bolanle Hassan-Fasan, a mental health nurse, philanthropist and cultural ambassador who even though resident in the United Kingdom traverses the Americas, Asia and other parts of the world, propagating your magnificent vision to Ibadan sons and daughters and urging them to join hands with you for its actualisation.
