The emergence of the Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde as the new chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Governors’ Forum has been described as a divine arrangement ordained by God almighty Himself.
This assertion was made by Governor Makinde’s Special Adviser on Culture and Tourism, Hon. Akeem Ademola Ige in a congratulatory message he made available to newsmen this evening.
Governor Makinde today emerged as the new Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum after a meeting with the party’s presidential flagbearer, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
Ige said Governor Makinde truly deserves the elevation because of the fact that he has made the PDP proud going by his achievements in the over three years he had piloted the affairs of Oyo state.
According to him, “your Excellency sir, your inspiring achievements in agriculture, sports infrastructure, education, massive road projects, particularly, rural roads linking to agriculture base in the State, health, workers’ welfare and so on are some of the qualities that distinguish you among your colleagues.
I am particularly happy that today the PDP has acknowledged your outstanding contributions to the party’s progress, brotherly love amongst PDP Governors, as they engage with the myriad challenges of insecurity, banditry and terrorism facing the country.
I hereby beseech God almighty to imbue you with more knowledge, wisdom and sound health which you need to carry out the onerous task before your Excellency. Once again, I congratulate you sir.” The statement concluded.
