TASUED reopens, resumes semester examination

TASUED reopens, resumes semester examination, TASUED shuts institution over alleged military invasion, TASUED staff abducted

The management of the Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED), Ijagun, Ogun State, has announced the resumption of academic activities for the 2020/2021 academic session on Tuesday, 9th November, 2021.

In a statement, signed and released by the university’s public relations officer, Ayotunde Odubela, the second-semester examination is said to resume on Wednesday, 10th November, 2021.

Recall that the management of the institution suspended academic activities, including the ongoing semester examination on Friday, October 29, and asked students to vacate the campus to forestall the breakdown of law and order.

The university Senate’s decision to shut the institution temporarily followed a day-long demonstration by students against what they termed an illegal arrest of some of their colleagues, including the president of the Students Union, by men of the Nigerian Army from Ilese Barracks.

The university, however, advised students to remain law-abiding and peaceful as they return to the campus for the conclusion of their examinations.
