Rain disrupts NNL Super 8 in Enugu, matches rescheduled

Heavy downpour on Wednesday evening halted proceedings at the ongoing NNL Super 8 in Enugu as matches have been rescheduled as is the case of force majure.

The heavens opened up in the second half of the 3rd match of Day Two between Gombe United and the DMD of Borno, forcing the organisers to call off the game in the 65th minute.

At the time the game was called off by match officials, Gombe United was leading 1-0. The remaining 25 minutes will now be played on Friday morning by 8.00 am as the reported declaration by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) that all markets and businesses should close today (Thursday) in the South East means that no match will be held today.

Already, the match between Insurance of Benin and Ekiti United which should have been played yesterday but for the rain has also been moved to Friday.
