Oyo’s economy is fast growing under Gov Makinde — Ige

Oyo State economy has been steadily growing under the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde led administration since assumption of office in May, 2019.

The Special Adviser on Culture and Tourism, Hon. Akeem Ademola Ige disclosed this recently during his facility visit to one of the newly constructed event centre in Ibadan, Oyo State capital.

Ige stressed that since Governor Makinde came on board, he has invested so much in infrastructure and security that is creating enabling environments for the investors both locally and internationally to invest in the State, adding that this has no doubt improved the economy of the State among other states in the federation.

According to him, “if you think as an investor to invest your money in an environment that is conducive in terms of infrastructure, security and friendly, then think of Oyo State. Oyo state’s economy is fast growing now courtesy of the leadership style of Governor Seyi Makinde. This is not the first, second, third or even fifth hotels or event centres like this that I have been invited to commission on behalf of Governor Seyi Makinde this year alone. This is the testimony to the fact that investors are finding this state safe and secure to invest.

“Apart from making roads motorable to ply, Governor Makinde also fortified all the security agencies including the unconventional ones. Just recently, he donated another 100 hilux vehicles for Amotekun personnel to ease their movements and patrols 24 hours. You know that security of lives and property should be the utmost priority of any serious government in power.” Ige said.

While congratulating the founder of Trinity Plaza and Event Hall located at Trinity Street, Sabo Bus Stop, Ojoo, Ibadan, Otunba Adeshina Ogunjimi and his wife, Morolake Ogunjimi for putting up such edifice in Ibadan, Hon Ige said that the event centre has not only provided employment opportunity for some youths but it will also add to the revenue accrued to the coffers of the State.

He, however, called on some individuals who are fond of blocking the roads with canopies whenever they are organizing event without government approval to stop doing so but rather make use of event centres like trinity plaza for their events.

Earlier, the founder, Otunba Adeshina Ogunjimi who is a Canada based Ibadan indigene, said he and his wife were motivated to come back to their place of origin to invest because of the fact that Oyo State has become one of the safest states in the country today as a result of security architecture put in place by Governor Seyi Makinde administration.

Trinity Plaza which is located at a very strategic place at Sabo Bus Stop, Ojoo, Ibadan has 500 capacity hall, office spaces, Hang out bar, parking spaces, security and 24 hour electricity supply.
