Oyo CP assures of protection at Eid

The Oyo State Commissioner of Police, Ngozi Onadeko, has said that adequate Intelligence and tactical apparatus have been deployed to every nook and cranny of the state to ensure maximum protection of lives and properties and maintenance of peace during Eid-el-fitir period and  beyond.

The heads of Tactical and Intelligence teams have been drafted to observe spontaneous and result yielding stances during and after the festive period.

Ngozi said the constituted security arrangement includes a well-defined intelligence network within the state, aggressive and focused stop and search, surveillance and visibility patrols.

Furthermore, the CP admonished the good people of the state to be conscious, watch out for strange activities around their surroundings and secure personal belongings while enjoying the festivities.

She also noted that vehicles parked within immediate environment, garages and public places should be under lock and key at all times to prevent incidents of removal of vehicles from where parked.

The CP also remind the good people of the state that adherence to the provided COVID-19 safety regulations in the prevention and curtailment of the spread of the virus in the state is a responsible measure to be embraced by all and sundry within the festive period and beyond.
