Makinde’s Ex-Aide, Ige, Hails Wale Ojo Lanre’s Appointment by Gov. Oyebanji

Hon Akeem Ademola Ige, the immediate past Special Adviser to Governor Seyi Makinde on Culture and Tourism has congratulated Barrister Wale Ojo Lanre on his recent appointment as the Director-General, Bureau of Tourism Development by Governor Oyebanji of Ekiti State.

The congratulatory message was contained in a statement personally issued and made available to journalists by Hon. Akeem Ademola Ige, saying the appointmemt which came barely two weeks after Wale Ojo Lanre was called to the Nigerian bar is a confirmation that his positive contributions not only to his home state, Ekiti, but Nigeria as a whole is being recognized and appreciated.

Hon. Ige who is the Baameto Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yoruba land, recalled that prior to Wale Ojo Lanre’s recent appointment, he had served as Senior Special Assistant on Tourism to the immediate past administration of Governor Kayode Fayemi and also as Chief Press Secretary to former Governor Segun Oni in Ekiti State respectively.

Hon. Ige added that from all the previous offices held by Wale Ojo Lanre both as private and public, he has been diligent in carrying out his responsibilities and leaves indelible footprints for others to emulate.

The statement reads further: There is no doubt the facts that his efforts is being noticed and this appointment is another confirmation of his passion to genuinely contributing to his state and Nigeria at large.

His agitation for creation of separate Ministry and give more attention to tourism is yielding positive results and his name will be etched in a golden book as a front liner who makes remarkable contributions in re-awakening the consciousness of the government and the public to the development of tourism in Nigeria.” It said.

Hon. Ige who commended Gov Oyebanji for considering Wale Ojo Lanre for this appointment, hinted that the appointee will bring his wealth of experience as a seasoned tourism expert to bear in advancing tourism development in Ekiti State.
