Ex-Eagle, Peter Ijeh, in Cloud 9 as daughters earn Nigeria’s call-up

Ijeh's daughters join Falcons
Josephine and Evelyn Ijeh

Babajide Orevba Peter Ijeh’s daughters Josephine and Evelyn have been invited to the training camp of the Super Falcons of Nigeria ahead of the Aisha Buhari cup scheduled for September in Nigeria.

Both stars who currently play for BK Hacken of Sweden are still eligible to feature for their fatherland having only played for Swedish youth teams before their official senior team invitation by Nigeria.

Peter Ijeh, a former Super Eagles forward, stated that he is delighted that his daughters have received invitations from Nigeria, saying they will make the country proud.

“I welcome the news wholeheartedly. They have won the Swedish Premier League back-to-back and have played in the women’s Champions League. They are still playing in one of the biggest teams in Sweden, BK Hacken, and they have both played for the Swedish U17 & U19 teams respectively, so you see they have all it takes to make the Falcons team”, the proud dad revealed.

Josephine Ijeh plays as a defender at Swedish outfit BK Hacken, while her sibling, Evelyn is a top striker like the father who was once a Nigeria premier league hotshot with Julius Berger.

The Super Falcons of Nigeria are presently at a training camp in Austria ahead of the 6 nation Aisha Buhari tournament in Austria.
