Antonio Rudiger arrives Sierra-Leone

Chelsea centre-back Antonio Rüdiger has on Monday 24 January 2022 safely arrived in Sierra Leone with a private plane at the Freetown International Airport.

During his stay, he will have a series of official engagements to explore opportunities for investment in sports and keep the football conversation going after Sierra Leone’s exit from the 2021 AFCON tournament in Cameroon.

The climax of his visit will be the launch of the Antonio Rüdiger Foundation for Sierra Leone on Thursday 27 January.

The German professional footballer has been always associating himself with his motherland (Sierra Leone) with notable support from the talisman towards the country in education, health, sports etc.

His visit is expected to bring a lot of achievements in sports development in the country.

There will be no matches in Europe this weekend thus Rudiger’s visit is coming at a FIFA free window.
