Another Batch of SESC Members Arrive Algeria for Golden Eaglets

A second group of fans, proudly sponsored by the Super Eagles Supporters Club (SESC) have arrived Algeria ahead of the next fixture involving Nigeria in the ongoing Africa U-17 championship in the Northern African country.

Led by the club’s National Public Relations Officer, Olutoye Orishabiyi, the 2nd batch of Supporters arrived Constantine early Saturday, on time for the crucial 3rd group phase game involving the Golden Eaglets of Nigeria and their counterparts from South Africa, a must win game for the Nigerian lads after the surprise 0-1 loss to Morocco in their 2nd group game.

President of the club, Dr (Barr) Johnson Amawoei Dagana had made it known after the first NEC meeting of the club in April shortly after winning the National election in Abuja that 200 members of the club were already getting ready for the trip to Algeria to support the National U-17 side to victory at the CAF organized championship.

The first batch of Supporters which included the National Deputy President, Alhaji Musiliu Alao Jimoh had been on ground from Day 1 of the competition, adding colour and elegance to the Nigerian stand with concurrent recognition for their contributions to the success of the team so far coming from the Nigeria Football Federation, particularly the endless singing and dancing all through the 1-0 victory over Zambia in the first game.

At the 2021 AFCON tourney in Cameroun, Iyabo Afolabi, one of the SESC side attraction crew members was awarded the FAN of the match in a game involving Nigeria and at the recently concluded U-20 AFCON in Egypt, Alhaji Musiliu Alao Jimoh received an award from the Nigerian Ambassador to Egypt as the best Nigerian supporter, alongside the FAN award from Orange, the championship sponsors.
