The immediate past Special Adviser to Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State on Culture and Tourism, Hon. Akeem Ademola Ige has joined other numerous sons and daughters of Ibadan both at home and in the Diaspora to felicitate the Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba Mahood Lekan Balogun (Alli Okumade ll) on his 81st birthday anniversary he celebrated on Wednesday 18th October, 2023.
In a congratulatory statement issued and made available to journalists, Hon. Ige who is the Baameto Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yoruba land and former council Chairman, stated that since Oba Balogun mounted the throne of his forefathers, Ibadan has been peaceful and continued to attract economic and social activities leading to growth and development.
According to the statement, “kaabiyesi, with your background, experience, influence and exposure, your majesty, not only is the Ibadan city continues to develop in leaps and bounds during your reign, you have also been using your position to further internal peace, stability and development of Ibadan and her people.
With the greatest respect and honour, I congratulate you on this glorious birthday celebration. May your reign continues to be prosperous and peaceful. May your love for us in Ibadan bring you joy, happiness and everlasting peace. May God grant you the grace to live long and make your reign memorable in positive ways.
