2023: PDP’ll Replicate Makinde’s Good Governance at National Level — Amb. Arapaja

With less than a year to the end of the eight years tenure of the current administration under President Muhammadu Buhari, the Deputy National Chairman (South) of the People’s democratic Party (PDP), Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja has assured Nigerians that the good governance currently being enjoyed by the people of Oyo State led PDP administration will be replicated in all the States of the federation if the party wins the 2023 Presidential election.

Ambassador Arapaja stated this while commenting on the state of the nation in the last seven years that the APC has been in government.

Arapaja who described three years government of Governor Seyi Makinde led government in Oyo State as symbolic and model of good governance in Nigeria, stressed that Makinde has recorded countless achievements in the area of infrastructure, health, education, prompt payment of salaries of workers and pensioners’ gratuities and so on, which the PDP government will emulate if it eventually gets to power at national level come 2023.

He hinted that surviving the last seven years under the repressive APC led administration is by the grace of God, adding that the quest for good governance in the country is the reason why the PDP is determined to rescue the nation from misrule and anti people’s policies under APC.

According to him, “in the last seven years, Nigerians have witnessed massive human rights violation, abuse of process, extra-judicial killings, stagnated infrastructure, excruciating economic hardship, escalated terrorism, mass killings and unbridled treasury-looting that have characterized the arrogant and incompetent APC administration.

“Of course, the APC and its government have dished out more lies, false promises and fake performance claims as their achievements in a fresh bid to hoodwink the people as the 2023 general election approaches.”

Arapaja said that when the PDP takes over power in 2023, it willreview the anti-people policies, end corruption and take urgent steps towards economic recovery by adopting a more transparent and inclusionist approach to governance to correct all the anomalies currently going on within the APC government.

“On our part, the PDP is repositioned and already leading the charge to Rescue and Rebuild our country. This mission is paramount in our collective quest for a prosperous and secure nation,” Arapaja maintained.
