Youths Told To Find Skills On Problem Solution

Nigerian Youths have been urged to engage more in problem solving skills, entrepreneurs even before traveling out of the country.

The Founder/Chief Executive Officer of an education consultancy firm, Into University and Migration Dr Joel Ibilade Adesokan gave the admonition in Ilorin at the Thanksgiving celebration of the eighth anniversary of the firm

Adesokan said “Young ones should ensure that skills accompany what they are doing presently, engage more in problem solving skills, IT skills, engage in entrepreneur part of it is the way” he said

Adesokan who stressed the need for University where societal problem would be solved urged youths to accord respect to elder ”

“Young people should believe in elders not to ridicule them” he said

While delivering his address at the event, A Professor at the University of Ilorin, Samuel Adebisi Onasanya, cautioned Nigerians against leaving the shores of the country through the Arabian desert or Mediterranean seas considering the risks involved.

Onasanya said the trips apart from the financial extortion, also claims the lives of many, leave many stranded while some are forced to engage in illicit businesses and end up in jail.

The event was also in honour of the founder and Chief Executive Officer of the firm, Dr Joel Ibilade Adesokan.

While affirming the surge in the number of Nigerians leaving the country, Prof. Onasanya said over 80% of Nigerians want to relocate to another country.

He attributed the emigration to the challenges ravaging the country to include insecurity, poor economy, unemployment, corruption and many more.

The university don however warned against travelling without a specific goal or proper planning.

“Yes, you may want to travel in pursuit of a greener pasture, but you must have a plan and prepare yourself.

“Not everyone who has traveled has a success story or finds it easy,” he said.

On his part, the General Overseer, Faith Contenders Ministry, Rev Adedayo Emmanuel Seth, expressed concern over the rate at which young Nigerians are traveling out of the country, with no plan to return.

The cleric said the leaders of the country should be concerned that the productive population of Nigeria are running out of the country and adding value to other nations at the expense of Nigeria.

He therefore, called for a proactive measure from the leadership to address the scourge.

Rev Seth, who is also the spiritual leader of Dr Adesokan, described him as a very young man of remarkable character.

The cleric said his humility and integrity, however, does not mean he is flabby in character, “because he knows what he is doing. He just does not project himself unnecessarily.”

The event witnessed song rendition, thanksgiving, special prayer, success stories and entertainment of guests from far and near.
