The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), kwara state Command, has paraded three (3) suspects for allegedly diverting petrol motor spirit (PMS).

The suspects, Buhari Joda (37), Amidu Joda (32), and Ahmed Aminu (20), were arrested by Antivandal unit of the Command on their routine patrol.

This is contained in a statement signed by NSCDC Public Relations Officer, Ayeni Olasunkanmi in Ilorin and made available to newsmen.

He said the suspects were arrested with a 33,000 litre Tanker. Going through the waybills, the fuel was meant for Lagos but the suspects diverted the oil to kwara for economic gains.

The Commandant, Muhammed Tukur Ibrahim while parading the suspects said, “currently, the country is experiencing a lot of hardship due to fuel scarcity in circulation.

“The corps will do everything possible to stop any saboteur.

“The Commandant warns those who like to engage in PMS diversion to have a rethink, otherwise, they shall be caught very soon.”

He urged the public to always furnish the corps once they suspect any diversion of fuel or other criminal activities.
