Three Siblings Die of Suffocation in Kwara

Three siblings of the same parent, have reportedly died as a result of suffocation in Ilorin, Kwara state capital.

The incident, it was gathered, occurred at about 2p.m at No 8, Boluke Line, Zango-Kulende quarters in Ilorin metropolis.

It was gathered that the three children locked themselves in the car parked by their father within the premises of their residence.

It was also gathered that the said car was borrowed by their father from his sister wherein the three siblings, a boy and two girls met their untimely death as a result of suffocation.

Their mother, Shade Silifat, who had gone out to buy indomie noodles for their school meals on Monday, fainted as a result of the incident.

Their mother, who discovered their foot wares outside the parked car, raised an alarm after forcing the doors of the car open.

It was gathered that they were then rushed to Olutayo Clinic, very close to their residence for medical attention.

The Medical Director, Dr Adeyemo , however, directed that they should be taken to the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, Ilorin, where they were confirmed dead.

The three siblings had been buried at Muslim cemetery, Ilorin according to Islamic rite.
