Stop Blame Game Over my Defeat, Oyetola to Party Members

Osun state Governor and the candidate of the All  Progressive Congress’ in the  July 16 Osun gubernatorial election, Mr Adegboyega  Oyetola has appealed to members of the party to be united and stop blame game over his defeat at the poll.

Governor Oyetola made the appeal at a meeting with supporters and aggrieved members of the party following the infighting and apportioning of blames by members and supporters of the party over the defeat the party suffered in the said gubernatorialelection in the state.

Party leaders, chieftains, members and supporters have been at loggerheads over the outcome of the poll which saw Senator Ademola Adeleke as the winner.

Some dissatisfied members had blamed some notable chieftains of the party who are close to Governor Oyetola for causing the party defeat while others have been raining curses on those perceived to have worked against the success of the party.

The governor who urged party faithful to desist from public display of annoyance charged APC members and supporters not to allow the outcome of the election to further cause division within the party, stressing that the APC remained the ruling party in the state.

Addressing the party men and women at the Government House, Osogbo, Governor Oyetola preached peace and unity at every stratum of the party.

He further advised party members who have grievances to channel them to the appropriate quarters and stop expressing them publicly, in the interest of the party.

As the incumbent state governor, governor Oyetola stated that he would continue to govern with fear of God and love of the people, just as he reiterated his commitment to the well-being of the people and development of the state.
