Oyo NNPP Guber Candidate, POJ, Others Get Party’s Flag as Kwankwaso Kicks off Campaign in Ibadan

The gubernatorial candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in Oyo State, Engr. Popoola Olukayode Joshua, Lagos and Ogun States gubernatorial candidates as well as candidates for Senatorial and House of Representatives candidates from the South West zones yesterday were presented with the party’s flag ahead of the upcoming general elections.

The hand over ceremony took place at Liberty stadium, Oke-Ado, Ibadan during the official flag off of the Presidential and gubernatorial campaign of the party in Ibadan.

While addressing the mammoth crowd that besieged the venue before the handing over ceremony, the Presidential candidate, Engr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso described the two dominant political parties, PDP and APC as failed political parties, urging Nigerians to reject them with their votes.

The former two term Governor of Kano State, Engr Kwankwaso who stated that it was glaring that the said two political parties have nothing to offer the country with the way they have governed, hinted that NNPP remains the party to beat in the next general elections.

He also cautioned Nigerians not to fall victim to religious and tribal sentiment in this year’s general elections.

He said, “APC and PDP cannot offer Nigeria anything again. Some of them are having issues, some are having personality issues. Let’s go and do the right thing.

“Nigeria as a country deserves much better leaders unlike what we are presently having under the ruling APC and the PDP”.

Other dignitaries who took turn to address the gathering urged the people of Oyo state to cast their vote for NNPP candidates from top to bottom for the country to enjoy better infrastructural development, quality education, agricultural development, employment opportunities for youths, among others.

The Chief Host and Southwest leader of NNPP, Alhaji Adebisi Olopoeyan maintained that in this 2023 election, Nigeria deserves somebody like Engr Kwankwanso who is the only one that has answer to myriad of challenges confronting the country drawing from his achievements in Kano state as a Governor.

Highlight of the event was the open display of permanent voters cards by all the party faithful and supporters that attended the rally.
