The foremost support group within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), APC Professionals Council, Oyo State chapter has congratulated the National leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Senator Teslim Folarin on their emergence as the presidential and gubernatorial candidates of the party respectively.
Asiwaju Bola Tinubu emerged as the party’s presidential flagbearer at the keenly contested presidential election yesterday while Senator Teslim Folarin was elected as the gubernatorial candidate of the party in Oyo State at the primaries held recently.
While congratulating the duo in a statement signed by its State Coordinator, Dr Bamidele Gold, the group commended all the other contestants that participated in the elections for demonstrating courage, patriotism, and exceptional spirit of sportsmanship throughout their campaigns.
The group also stressed the need for all patriotic stakeholders and members of the party to unite and ensure the victory of the party in the forthcoming elections especially in Oyo State, lamenting that the Seyi Makinde-led PDP government has not only destroyed the good governance it inherited but its emergence has in the last three years foisted the most reprehensible government upon the people of Oyo state.
According to the statement, “it is a beautiful development and good omen to have Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as our party’s presidential flagbearer and Teslim Folarin as the party’s gubernatorial candidate in Oyo State.
The APC Professionals Council as a support group founded solely to help in strengthening the party by guiding and providing professional solutions to the challenges facing the National and to promote progressive agenda will use its strategies to encourage more professional bodies to join the progressive party, APC towards the preparation for the 2023 general elections and ensure that it wins at the federal and state elections.” It assured.
The group described Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a wonderful man whose political tenacity and experience is capable to lead the party to electoral victory come 2023.
