OJT Volunteers Group Launches In Ibadan North West LG

Ahead of the 2023 general elections, a group, Olasunkanmi Joseph Tegbe (OJT) Volunteered Group has been formally inaugurated in the Ibadan North West Local Government area of Oyo State.

The group was launched purposely to bring together all the members of volunteer groups consisting several political parties from APC, AD and ADC and those who are non-partisan but are ready to work for the election of Chief Olasunkanmi JosephTegbe to ensure his emergence as the next representative of the Oyo South Senatorial district at the national assembly come 2023.

The group who are mainly traders, teachers, civil servants, artisans among others converged at Ebenezer primary school, Salvation Army Road, Ekotedo, Ibadan with the representatives of each group in attendance.

Among the groups present at the inauguration were Rubber Footwear Association of Nigeria, Idikan chapter youth forum; Tegbe’s Teachers’ Wing; Team Tegbe Alliance; New Dawn Movement (NDM); Tegbe Youth Vanguard; Tegbelistic Sisters; Nureni Adeniran Group; and Gbagbe Osi Tegbe group among others.

While addressing the group on behalf of Joseph Tegbe’s lieutenants, Mr Gabriel Oguntola said the purpose of the meeting was to harmonize all the various interest groups that have volunteered to show support for Engr Olasunkanmi Joseph Tegbe so that he can win the election coming up in February, 2023 with landslide.

According to him, “we want all the aforementioned groups to recognize one another especially in Ibadan North West Local Government which is the first local government we are inaugurating before we move to other eight local governments to do the same. We are not disconnecting the identity of these groups, we recognize them as they are but we want them to work together among themselves so that we can see ourselves as one. We have absolute faith in God that with the support of these groups and others that have promised to join, our principal, Engr. Olasunkanmi Joseph Tegbe will not only win his senatorial election but others including Governor Seyi Makinde will win for a second term in office.

With my experience as an administrator who had worked for 35 years and reach the zenith of my career by retiring from active service as a permanent Secretary, I have known that to enjoy a good governance, it is necessary to put somebody who is knowledgeable, experienced, well connected, humane and above all, have the fear of God in power. This is what these groups have realised and have seen in Engr Joseph Tegbe that gave them conviction to volunteer to support him.” Mr Oguntola retorted.

He used the opportunity to appeal to those that are yet to collect their permanent voters’ card (PVCs) to immediately do so and be resolute in their decision to cast their votes for Engr Tegbe.

Represenatives of some of the groups that earlier spoke at the meeting, Mr Ogunrinde Seyi, Hon. Yomi Alade, Hon. Olansile Gafar, Alhaji Onifila, Mr Gbolagade Ganiyu, Mr Taofeek Oriowo and Princess Rukayat Akindele all said that the decision to support Engr Tegbe was borne out of the fact that he has been kind, accommodating and render selfless services to the people even without even holding any public office and his candidacy for the senatorial election and provided them the opportunity to pay him back.

Other members of Engr Tegbe’s foot soldier that attended the meeting were Alhaji Lateef Mustapha, Mrs Abidemi Sanni, Mrs Erelu Latifat Jayeoba, Mrs Faith Kehinde, Pastor Jimoh Adisa, Ambassador Saheed Adeleke and Hon. Hafiz Oladejo.
