NWFL Super 6 Trophy Arrives from UK

The highly coveted Nigeria Women Football League trophy, being competed for by the 6 best teams in women’s football in the land, arrived Nigeria from the United Kingdom on Friday, two days before the championship is expected to come to an end.

The trophy, going the way of the team with the highest points at the end of the NWFL Super 6 Championship, arrived aboard a Virgin Atlantic flight from the UK and was received on arrival at the International Airport Lagos by the Chairperson, NWFL governing board, Mrs Aisha Falode.

The NFF executive member later flew into Benin-City with the trophy same day.

The NWFL Super 6 championship, sponsored by Tulcan Energy Resources is being hosted by the Edo State Government, with all matches being played at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium and University of Benin sports complex, both in Benin-city.
