NSCDC Deploys Over 3000 Operatives for Eid-il-Kabir Celebration in Kwara

As Eid-el-Kabir draws near, the Kwara State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Dr. Umar J.G. Mohammed, has ordered the deployment of over 3000 operatives to ensure security during and after the celebrations.

This was made in a statement issued by the command’s spokesperson, ASC 1 Ayoola Michael Shola, and made available to newsmen in Ilorin, Kwara State, on Thursday.

Commandant Umar mentioned that the deployment would cover all 16 Local Government Areas of the state, with special focus on high-risk zones, such as black spots, flashpoints, vulnerable areas, and regions prone to criminal activities.

He instructed Area Commanders, Tactical Commanders, and Divisional Officers to conduct continuous patrols and ensure extensive deployment to guarantee a smooth and safe celebration.

Commandant Umar also issued a stern warning to miscreants, vandals, and other potential troublemakers planning to disrupt the peace during the festive period, urging them to desist from such actions.

He emphasized that the command is fully prepared and equipped to enforce the law, ensuring that offenders face the full consequences of their actions.

While congratulating Muslim faithful in the state on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir, he urged them to support the NSCDC and other security agencies by reporting any suspicious individuals or activities that could threaten the peace and stability OF Kwara.
