Nigerian Weightlifter, Taiwo Liadi, has increased the number of medals won by Nigeria in Weightlifting to 5 with a silver medal finish.
Competing in the women’s 76kg weightlifting event, the 19 year old finished 2nd behind Canada’s Maya Laylor, who set a new Commonwealth Games record.
Liadi Taiwo won Nigeria a Silver medal from a total lift of 216kg in the snatch plus clean and jerk category.
