NFF appoints Falode Falcons Chef de Mission for Morocco 2022

The president of the Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick has officially announced the appointment of NFF board member and the Chairperson of the Nigeria Women Football League, Aisha Falode, as the Chef De Mission/ Leader of Delegation for the Super Falcons trip to Morocco for the 2022 CAF African Women Cup of Nations.

Pinnick, noted that Falode was the Leader of Delegation to the Ghana 2018 Women’s Nations Cup which Nigeria won, and she has been found worthy to help motivate Nigeria to yet another victorious edition of the Women’s Nations Cup especially as the Super Falcons team is going for the tenth Nations Cup title.

“She, in her capacity as Leader of Delegation can ask anybody not part of the team to leave the team’s camp. She is the eye of the Nigerian government for the team in Morocco”, the NFF president declared.

“She is going to be with the team from the beginning to the end of the tournament. Ofcourse you know her antecedent, she was in CAF for 10 years even before I came into CAF. She has been able to rebuild and rebrand the women league in Nigeria, Africa and indeed in the world as one of the best.

“I believe strongly that in the nearest future, she is going to be rewarded for changing the fortune of women’s football league, by CAF and FIFA. And also for her ability and leadership capacity in the organisation and advancement of women’s football in Africa”, Pinnick Amaju further stated.

The NFF president noted that the Super Falcons are going to Morocco 2022 as the greatest team in Africa.

“Germany won the European Cup titles eight times, same as the United States of America winning the continental titles for eight times. It’s only the Super Falcons of Nigeria that has won the continental titles for nine times in the world and the players together with Aisha Falode and the coaches have resolved and determined to win the 10th title at Morocco 2022 AWCON”

“They are more determined and unstoppable to achieve the tenth title for Nigeria at the Women’s Cup of Nations”, he continued.

“The Super Falcons are also presented with the advantage as being the only team in Africa that has been to all editions of the FIFA Women’s World Cup from 1991 till date. So, as they are battling for the tenth title for Nigeria, they are also going for the ticket to play at the next edition of the Women’s World Cup in Australia”, the president concluded.

Aisha Falode in her response promised to ensure total harmony in the team’s camp as Leader of Delegation, with the aim of encouraging the Super Falcons win their tenth title and also qualify for the World Cup in Australia among other accolades at Morocco 2022.

“We know the major focus of all the teams coming to Morocco is to defeat the Super Falcons of Nigeria even if subsequently they don’t win the cup, because of the dominance of the Nigerian team, but, bad for all the eleven teams competing, we won’t allow them”.

“For Nigeria, as defending champions, we are going to Morocco with the trophy and by hard work, dedication and grace of God, we shall come back with the trophy and the tenth title after playing in Morocco as one family. With this spirit, the team will surely play as one unit, one family, with one love, the chemistry to win all games and the spirit of Nigeria”, the newly appointed leader of delegation assured.
