A group, APC Professionals Council, oyo State chapter has congratulated Nigerians and the people of Oyo State for witnessing the Year 2023 in good health.
In a release issued and signed by the State Coordinator of the group, Dr. Bamidele Gold, the group commended Nigerians for their resilience in the face of undaunted challenges that the country faced in the outgone year 2022.
According to the release, “every individual in Nigeria that is alive today has cause to thank God in view of some of the recent unfortunate happenings that the country witnessed in the last year which call for sober reflection and need for people in all parts of the nation to pray fervently as the long awaited 2023 election year is already here.”
We must eschew comments and acts that may inflame passions or fan the embers of disunity to avoid the worsening of security situation in the country.
With 54 days to the conduct of the Presidential and National Assembly elections, it is highly imperative for us to ensure that the right people with track record are giving the opportunity during the election in order to right the wrong that have been retarding the overall development of our dear country, Nigeria and Oyo State”.
While thanking Nigerians for their support and co-operation for the APC led administration in the country, the statement enjoined the people to cast their votes for the party’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Senator Kassim Shetima and all other national Assembly candidates in the forthcoming general elections.
“As we wish Nigerians the very best that this year will bring, the Professionals Council implore all electorates to vote APC Candidates in the forthcoming presidential and national assembly election. Their emergence will ensure steady development of our nation’s economy and improve the standard of living of the downtrodden.” The statement concluded.
