Mr Macaroni Bags Outstanding-Youth-of-the-Year Award

Ace comedian, Debo Adebayo (popularly known as Mr Macaroni) has said Nigerian youths are doing well in their different endeavours even though the country is not putting smiles on their faces in recent times.

Mr Macaroni, known for his catchy phrase, ‘Ooin you’re doing well’ and funny characters, was in Ibadan to receive the Outstanding-Youth-of -the-Year Award as part of the activities lined up for the inauguration of the new President-General and other executives of the apex social-cultural group in Ibadan, the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII), stated this while speaking with RULERS’ WORLD.

According to him, “This recognition is a great feeling for me because as a person I am moved to use my voice and platform to advocate for a better Nigeria. So to be recognised for that, I will say it’s not just me, there are a lot of youths outside there that are trying their best to make sure that at the end of the day, all we are clamouring for is a better Nigeria that you and I can be proud of to call our country.

“I want to say to the great youths of Nigeria that they are doing well and we all together must continue to do well. At the end of the day, Nigeria will be better. While we continue to struggle to survive and live well, we should be prayerful and be happy.”

Mr Macaroni who expressed gratitude to the CCII for the honour bestowed on him, advised the new executive members of the group to see their mandate as a call to serve and not betray the trust reposed in them by the people of Ibadan, adding that the people are expecting new era and change that would better their lives, the youths, children and environment from them.

Other celebrities such as Officer Woos, Pamilerin Adegoke, Oluwa Dollars, MC Lively, Mr Taiwo Adeyemi, and others were present at the inauguration of Chief Yemisi Adeaga, as the new President-General of CCII, following his emergence as the winner of the election conducted earlier in April 2021.

Adeaga, who is a retired civil servant, an oil and gas magnate, is an advocate for the creation of Ibadan State.
