Makinde’s Victory Reflects that Power Belongs to God, Masses

The Special Adviser to Oyo State Governor on Culture and Tourism, Hon. Akeem Ademola Ige has reacted to the victory recorded by the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde at yesterday’s gubernatorial election saying the outcome of the election has actually shown that power belong to the God almighty and the masses.

In a congratulatory message personally issued and made available to journalists shortly after the INEC official declaration of the result, Hon. Akeem Ige who is the Baameto Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland, said from the inception of the current first tenure of Governor Makinde, he has put God first in everything he does and he has always been on the side of the people by embarking on projects and policies that affect the masses positively.

He stated that this action by Seyi Makinde reflected in yesterday’s poll which resulted in landslide victory he recorded in 31 out of 33 local government areas in the State.

Hon. Ige equally extended his congratulatory message to the Deputy Governor, Barr. Bayo Lawal, all the State Assembly members elect especially Hon. Modiu Opeyemi Akande – Ibadan South East constituency I and Hon. Yinka Omikunle – Ibadan South East constituency II. Others include the Deputy National Chairman (South), Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja and all PDP leaders in the State for their efforts at ensuring the re-election of Governor Makinde.

While calling on all opposition members in the State to accept the outcome of the election in good faith, Hon. Ige equally appreciated the good people of Oyo State for the confidence reposed in the Governor Makinde led administration, urging them not to relent in their support for the Governor.
