Makinde’s Aide, Ige Organises INEC Registration For Voters In Ibadan South-East LG

As the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) registration exercise closes today, the Special Adviser to Oyo State Governor on Culture and Tourism, Hon. Akeem Ademola Ige yesterday made arrangement with the INEC officials for the smooth registration of the eligible voters who are yet to get their permanent voters cards (PVCs).

Speaking at the venue of the exercise held at Christ Church Primary school, Mapo, Odinjo at ward 8 in Ibadan South East Local Government area, Hon. Ige said that he took the decision to facilitate the movement of the INEC officials to the venue in order zto ensure that those who were yet to register and wanted to do so were given the opportunity bearing in mind that Sunday 31st July, 2022 which is today, is the deadline set by the INEC as the end of the exercise.

Hon. Ige who expressed delight at the turn out of the people for the registration, noted that since the PVCs is the only weapon that the electorates have to elect good and credible leaders, nobody will be disenfranchised during the 2023 general elections once they have that weapon.

He called on other eligible voters in the State to maximize the opportunity of the last day for the exercise to get themselves registered and be prepared to cast their votes in the forthcoming general elections.
