The Special Adviser to Oyo State Governor on Culture and Tourism, Hon. Akeem Ademola Ige has mourned the death of his mother-in-Law, Alhaja Ramotu Kikelomo Adedokun.
Alhaja Ramotu Kikelomo Adedokun died yesterday morning at the age of 78 after a brief illness and her remains had been committed to mother heart at her residence, Eleyele, Ibadan according to Islamic rites.
Among the dignitaries that attended the burial rites were the Deputy National Chairman (South) of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja who was represented by Hon. Yinka Omikunle and Opeyemi Modiu Akande, Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Dr. Wasiu Olatubosun, PDP Chairman Ibadan North West Local Government, Mr. Luqmon Adesina among others.
While mourning the passing of the matriarch, Hon. Ademola Ige described her as a hardworking, resilient and God fearing woman who lived an exemplary life dedicated to the service of God and humanity.
He prayed God Almighty to grant her eternal rest.
The deceased left behind many children, grand children and great grand children. Among them are Alhaja Ganiyat Adenike Adedokun (Ireland), Tayo Adedokun, Mrs Yetunde Adeleke Mrs Adedayo Yusuff United Kingdom (UK), Mr Kehinde Adedokun, Procurement Officer Oyo State Road Traffic Agency (OYRTMA), Mr Taiwo Babajide, Hakeem Adeniyi, Alhaja Monsurat Adepeju Ige and others.
