Makinde’s Aide, Ige Congratulates Oyo House Of Assembly Member-Elect, Oyekola

The Special Adviser to Oyo State Governor on Culture and Tourism, Hon. Akeem Ademola Ige has joined thousands of good people of Oyo State both within and in the diaspora to congratulate a member elect of the State House of Assembly under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the last weekend election, Otunba Gbenga Joseph Oyekola who was elected for Atiba State constituency, saying the overwhelming victory is a proof of good governance of the Executive Governor, Governor Seyi Makinde under the Omi Tuntun 1.0 and the antecedents of Hon. Oyekola in the previous political positions he has held.

Hon. Ademola Ige in a statement personally signed and made available to the newsmen described the victory as a landslide that has never happened before in the history of the State.

Hon. Ige said, it is no longer news to say that Governor Makinde dividend of democracy cut across the 33 local governments in Oyo State and the pointer to that fact has been shown with the result of the State Assembly, where the PDP, won 28 seats out of the 32seats in the Assembly wherein Otunba Gbenga Joseph Oyekola is one of them.

According to him, “as my political associate and colleague in the last 8th AssembIy, I truly believe Hon. Oyekola has all the qualities necessary to lead and make a great impact in the Assembly and Oyo State as a whole having served as a council chairman, former Special Adviser on Local Government and chieftaincy Affairs, State Lawmaker and as the immediate past Special Adviser on Budget and Panning, His leadership skills in stabilizing the last 8th AssembIy can never be forgotten.

Otunba Oyekola is brave, courageous, bridge builder and real grassroot politician who has never disconnected himself from his people anytime he is in position of authority and I have no doubt that he will continue to serve with the same enthusiasm and commitment that got him to this point.

Once again congratulations on this wonderful achievement – this victory is well-deserved and I wish you all the best in the task ahead of you.” Ige enthused.
