Makinde Approves Appointment of Sunday Babatunde as Secretary Ib. S.E.L.G

 

The Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde has approved the appointment of Mr Sunday Babatunde as the Secretary of Ibadan South East Local Government area.

Hon. Babatunde’s appointment was conveyed to him in a letter dated 18th May, 2023 signed by one Mr. L.A. Aransi-Director of Local Government Administration, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, on behalf of the honourable Commissioner in the ministry which was addressed to the Chairman, Ibadan South East Local Government area.

The appointment letter titled: Re-appointment of Secretary for Ibadan South East Local Government area read thus: ”

I am directed to refer to the above subject and inform you that his Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde has graciously approved the appointment of Sunday Babatunde as Secretary of your local government to take immediate effect.”

It would be recalled that the office of the Secretary to the local government became vacant following the nomination of the erstwhile Secretary, Hon. Olayinka Omikunle (honourable member-elect) as the PDP candidate that replaced late Hon. Olusegun Popoola for Ibadan South East constituency II in the last State House of Assembly election.

In a chat with Rulers’ World, Hon. Sunday Babatunde popularly known as “Number One” expressed his gratitude to Governor Seyi Makinde, Deputy National Chairman (South) of the PDP, Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja, Hon. Dare Adeleke, Hon. Akeem Ige, the Chairman of the council, Hon. Emmanuel Oluwole Alawode, party Chairman, Engr Sulaiman Adesina and other leaders of the party for their support and confidence reposed in him, promising to justify that confidence by working harmoniously with other stakeholders for the progress of Ibadan South East Local Government and Oyo State as a whole.
