The newly appointed Vice-Chancellor of the Lagos State University (LASU), Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, has resumed duty, barely four days after her appointment by Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, as the ninth substantive VC for the State-owned institution.

Olatunji-Bello, on resumption, has begun to engage students and other relevant stakeholders of the institution on her plans and how LASU can become a citadel of learning that attracts not only students from the country but foreign students, particularly from other continents.

The Coordinator of the Centre for Information Press and Public Relations, LASU, Ademola Adekoya, on Monday confirmed that the second female Vice-chancellor for the institution has resumed.

Adekoya added that the new Vice-chancellor, in her style to ensure excellence, has commenced work immediately and has started engaging stakeholders to understand their plight and while she also informed them of his plans for the institution.
