Lagos-Kano train derails at Jebba

The narrow-gauge train travelling from Lagos to Kano has derailed at Jebba, Kwara State.

Reports have it that all the coaches of the train at the rare fell off the tracks on Sunday morning.

A source at the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) confirmed the incident and stated that the Corporation was salvaging the situation for the train to continue its journey.

He, however, did not reveal the number of casualties if they were any, or the damage the train incurred due to the accident.

Rulers world also contacted the Managing Director of NRC, Engr. Fidet Okhiria for confirmation, but there was no response at the time of filling in this report.
