The wife of the Oyo State Youth Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mrs. Arikeade Oni-Salawu, has been reportedly kidnapped by gunmen.

The wife of the APC Youth Leader, a medical doctor was abducted in front of her residence at Aromolaran, Old Ife Road, in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, on Sunday evening around 10.00 pm.

A source close to the family disclosed that the wife of the APC Youth Leader was driving in front of her husband, and when she was about to open their house gate, the assailants attacked her and whisked her away.

It was further learnt that she was kidnapped in a Nissan Micra salon car.

“They were both coming home. She was driving in front while the husband was driving behind.

“As she alighted to open the gate of the house, the kidnappers surfaced, brandishing guns and other dangerous objects. They kidnapped the wife in the process. That was around 10.00 pm last night,” the source revealed.

It was gathered that the gunmen have not contacted any of the family members as of the time of writing this report.

The Oyo State Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso, was yet to react to the incident, as at the time of filing this report.
