Fracas in oluyole LG Was Masterminded by Makinde’s Ex-DCoS, Mogbonubola Jagaban

At least one person has been reportedly died while others were inflicted with injuries when suspected hoodlums allegedly attacked some members of the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Oluyole local government area of Oyo State on Sunday 23rd April, 2023.
The deceased, one Mr Akeusola from ward 3 in Oluyole local government was said to have died in the early hours of Monday 24th April after attempts to save his life in the hospital had failed while the councillor representing ward 2, Hon. Raheem Adetunji and another Mr Gbolahan are currently receiving treatment for the injuries sustained when they were match eyes by the suspected hoodlums.
However, the former Deputy Chief of Staff to the Oyo State Governor who is also the PDP candidate Oluyole Federal constituency, Hon. Abdlmojeed Olawale Mogbonjubola popularly known as ‘Jagaban’ has been fingered to have masterminded the dastardly act.
This was made known in a statement signed and made available to journalists by the Convener, Oluyole Patriots, Mr  Adeleke Abegunde wherein he alleged that Hon. Mogbonjubola accused some party faithfuls of playing anti party activities which led to his loss at the recently conducted rerun election for Oluyole Federal constituency which was won by the incumbent Hon. Tolulope Akande Sadipe of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The statement called on the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde and other leaders and stakeholders of the party to curb the excesses of Hon. Mogbonjubola in order to forestall any future damage to the party and loyal members in Oluyole local government area.
When contacted for his reaction, Hon. Abdlmojeed Mogbonjubola Jagaban denied having hands in the attack, saying he was in his house in Lagos State. “I am in my house in Lagos and don’t know anything about it, period! I don’t have any reaction thank you.”

OLUYOLE PDP CRISIS, TIME TO TAME HON. OLAWALE MOJEED JAGABAN
The beauty of Democracy is to imbibe the spirit of Sportsmanship while it’s a known fact that in every contest, there must be a winner but the reverse is the case of the former Deputy Chief of Staff to His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde in person of Hon Abdulmojeed Olawale a.k.a. Jagaban who is yet to recover from the agony of his electoral defeat in the last general election in Oluyole federal Constituency to the incumbent, Hon Kafayat Sadipe of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
There’s never a crime in fulfilling one’s dream but it becomes a calamity when such aspiration leads to an inordinate ambition as the case of Hon Abdulmojeed Olawale because it’s on record that he had lost his bid to represent the good people of Oluyole Federal Constituency viz; 2015,2019 and the 2023 general elections respectively on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) but nobody can doubt his loyalty cum consistency to the party and this made the People’s Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde to reward him by appointing him as the Deputy Chief of Staff after losing the 2019 General Election.
Prior to the party primary in 2019 which Hon Abdulmojeed Olawale JAGABAN won , it would be recalled that he met his match in no other person than the savvy, industrious, intelligent, resourceful and a very loyal disciple of GSM, Hon Olaide Settle since GSM voyage in Political wilderness.
Hon Olaide Settle been a focused, goal-getter and a grassroot mobiliser who wants nothing but a Total Success for his Principal floated the Set Makinde Solidarity Group (SSG) across the 33 local goverments in the state with all financial responsibility solely on him then came the nomination of Chairmanship Candidates in the Local government election where the trio of Honourables Olaide Settle, Laskaz and Waheed Akintayo(Honourable-Elect, Oluyole State Constituency) were front-runners for the ticket but the mother-luck smiled on Hon Olaide Settle at the keenly contested Primary Election to the chagrin of Hon Abdulmojeed Olawale JAGABAN who mobilised massively for the victory of his Sponsored Candidate, Hon Laskaz but the rest is history while Hon JAGABAN took Olaide Settle as a sworn political foe since then.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared the House Of Representatives Election in Oluyole federal Constituency held on the 25th day of February,2023 as INCONCLUSIVE after the APC Candidate, Hon Kafayat Sadipe is leading Hon Abdulmojeed Olawale JAGABAN (PDP) with a total of 1,085 votes thus ordering a Supplementary election in just two polling units of ward 2 and 7 respectively with a total of 3,000 registered voter’s on the 15th day of April, 2023.
Alas, the Supplementary election was held and the APC Candidate, Hon Kafayat Sadipe won her Re-election while this prompted Hon Abdulmojeed Olawale JAGABAN in false allegation of ANTI-PARTY activities against the PDP party faithfuls in Oluyole Local government mostly the close ally of Hon Olaide Settle (Executive Chairman, Oluyole Local Government).
Yesterday, the 23rd day of April,2023 was a TOTAL BLACK SUNDAY when Hon Abdulmojeed Olawale Mogbonjubola JAGABAN led thugs to attack Party faithfuls in ward 2 where the Councillor representing ward 2 of Oluyole Local government, Hon Raheem Adetunji, Mr.Gbolahan and Mr. Akeusola were butchered by JAGABAN thugs but unfortunately the Oluyole PDP lost Mr. Akeusola from ward 3 in the early hours of today , 24th April, 2023 after frantic efforts to save his life at the hospital.
All efforts at reconciling Hon Abdulmojeed Olawale JAGABAN and Hon Olaide Settle by the party leaders yielded no positivity as JAGABAN always boasted of having the support of very powerful cliques in the cabinet of Governor Seyi Makinde therefore he remain “UNTOUCHABLE”.
At this juncture, we are making a passionate appeal to the Executive Governor of the state, Governor Seyi Makinde and other party stakeholders in the state to tame and curb the excesses of Hon Abdulmojeed Olawale JAGABAN in other to forestall future damages to the loyal party members in Oluyole Local Government because “NOBODY HAS A MONOPOLY OF VIOLENCE”.
Signed
Adeleke Abegunde
Convener,
OLUYOLE PATRIOTS
